Spooky Treats That Will Change the Way You Celebrate Halloween

There’s one thing everyone can agree on: the best part of halloween is the free candy. For everyone with a sweet tooth, the fall and winter holiday months are the perfect excuse to try out new spooky treats. My main focus for the month of October? Spooky treats for Halloween!

3 cupcakes frosted with white frosting and black and orange halloween sprinkles. Perfect spooky treats.

I have somehow found myself on halloween dessert TikTok and because the ideas are just too good not to share, I’m consolidating my favorite spooky treat ideas for the spooky season here in one blog post.

If you’re looking for Halloween inspiration or if you just want to wow your friends at the next get together, look no further. Prepare to be amazed and prepare to spend the weekend trying new recipes. DISCLAIMER: I do not own the footage in any TikTok shown. All credit goes to the original poster.

Halloween Spooky Treats

Sorting Hat Cookies

For all the Harry Potter fans out there, this is the perfect fall treat. Specifically if you’re planning a movie marathon with friends.

Imagine watching Harry Potter and everyone biting into their sorting hat cookies as Harry and his friends get placed in their houses.

Since you’ll be in control, you can even play a trick and give everyone their least favorite house.

Ghostbuster Cupcakes

Some spooky treats are easier than others and this is one of them. The process for making these cupcakes is the same as any recipe you’ve made there’s just one small additional step in the pan prep.

Roll up small balls of aluminum foil to hold the ghost shape of the cupcake cup while the batter bakes and there you have it! Little tasty ghosts!!

Halloween Cookie Skillet

This is truly an everything but the kitchen sink dessert. As a fan of skillet cookies for dessert at any restaurant, this is a fan favorite in my family.

You can even use an air fryer as the skillet. Add your cookie dough, bake it, and top with whatever spooky sprinkles, ice cream, and dessert toppings you can find in your kitchen cabinet.

Pilsbury Sugar Cookie Cupcakes

There is no such thing as too many Pilsbury holiday cookies. You’ve already made the cookie cake, why not also put the small cookies on top of your next cupcake batch?

The best part of this is that you don’t have to do any additional work. Just follow the directions on the cake mix, bake the cookies, and combine. No free-handing any baking.

Frankenstein S’mores

Of all the spooky treats in this blog post, this is likely the most advanced and intricate one. Imagine the cute frankenstein s’mores at a halloween party or movie marathon.

If you’re feeling particularly optimistic about your baking skills, definitely try this spooky treat out.

Autumn Spooky Treats

Pilsbury Pumpkin Cookie Cake

The Pilsbury cookies are a classic for any holiday and they’re addictive as well. There’s never a good time NOT to eat these cookies.

Want to make them with a small twist? Put them in a pan on top of sugar cookie mix and make a pilsbury cookie cake. This is the perfect spooky treat for a fall birthday or small get together.

Honestly, I won’t judge if you keep it all to yourself either.

Pumpkin Spice Ice Cream Sandwiches

Having ice cream as a favorite dessert in the cooler months is always an internal battle. You want to stay true to your favorite treat, but also know you’ll be unnecessarily cold if you do.

Because I’m sure you’ll give in and have ice cream at least once during the fall season, you may as well make it festive. Build your own ice cream sandwiches at home using a pumpkin spice cookie dough pilsbury sugar cookies, and your favorite ice cream flavor.

Pumpkin Cake Pops

This seems like it would be a very tricky dessert to make, but if you’re already familiar with making traditional cake pops, then this won’t be much harder.

All you have to do is roll your stick along the outside of the cake pop ball to make the pumpkin texture and then cover the cake pops in orange chocolate.

For a large gathering or event, this spooky treat is sure to impress.

Apple Spice Cinnamon Rolls

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Start the day right with apple spice cinnamon rolls. You deserve to combine the fall vibes with a sweet morning meal option.

The awesome thing about this treat is that you can make it with pre-made pilsbury cinnamon rolls from the store! Little to no additional work on your part.

And remember, cinnamon rolls don’t have to be exclusive to breakfast.

Pumpkin Spice Chai Cupcakes

The fall months are meant for all things pumpkin spice. It would be a crime to have this post and not include a pumpkin spice spooky treat. Spice cake is one of the most underated cake flavors. Add the classic autumn pumpkin flavor to that? Dynamite.

If you’re looking for a less ~halloween~ treat, this is a simple cupcake that your taste buds are sure to love.

The cozy fall months are the best excuse to try out some new baking and spend some time cuddled up on your couch with a festive dessert. Don’t miss out on a fun opportunity to impress your friends and family with these fun and tastey desserts!
